Grasmere House is a fine example of a Victorian family residence, set in 1.5 acres of mature gardens. Built in 1896 for Salisbury merchants, it has been carefully converted and extended into a private hotel, retaining all its features.The hotel is known locally as "The Weddings Hotel" of Salisbury.

The hotel has 35 bedrooms, 4 are located in the original house and 31 in the new wing. All bedrooms have en suite facilities, direct dial telephone, radio, colour TV, trouser press and hospitality tray. Five rooms are for disabled guests, walking, wheelchair and hearing.The master bedroom and the lounge have the finest views of the Watermeadows and Salisbury Cathedral.

The conservatory restaurant, with spectacular views down to the rivers Nadder and Avon and across to the Cathedral, has seating for 40 diners. The menu features a variety of dishes using local produce and changes to reflect the seasons.The Nadder bar has its own conservatory and similar views. The main suite, the Sarisberie, is a conservatory-styled room adjacent to the restaurant. The two rooms can be used for large private lunches, dinners, dances and receptions.The Sarisberie also has a large attractive patio area. Meetings for up to 110 delegates are accommodated in the main suite and the river rooms are available for smaller meetings, receptions and private dining. All meeting rooms are naturally lit.
