The current owner of The George Hotel Frank Joyce, purchased the Hotel in 1994, and proudly continues the tradition whilst improving facilities to meet the requirements of the modern traveller.

All rooms have central heating, colour TV, Tea and coffee facilities, direct dial telephone and hairdryers. The George suite has a spa bath for that added luxury. At our Courtyard Restaurant our local chefs make home cooked food using local produce whenever possible. Their mouth-watering sweets are a delight to all. Vegetarian and vegan meals are always available.

The George Hotel makes an ideal base for touring Somerset, Dorset and Devon. Lyme Bay and the South coast are approximately 20-30 minutes drive, whilst Bristol and the North Somerset coast are slightly over 1 hour away. Either Exeter to the West or Bournemouth to the South East can be reached in about an hour.
